Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE — edit this]

By using DoorStep Sites's website or hiring us to build a website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Our $500 risk-free guarantee

We design and build your custom website at no upfront cost. You only pay our flat fee of $500 if you approve the finished website. If the work doesn't meet your expectations, you may decline to proceed at no charge — you keep none of the deliverables, and we part ways with no further obligation on either side.

What's included

Project timeline

We aim to deliver your preview within 5–10 business days of receiving your content (logo, photos, services list, hours). The timeline depends on how quickly you provide feedback during the review phase.

Revisions

The flat $500 includes up to 3 rounds of reasonable design or content revisions before launch. Substantial scope changes (additional pages, bespoke functionality, custom integrations) may require a separate quote.

Optional monthly maintenance

If you opt into our $99/month maintenance plan, we will provide:

You may cancel maintenance at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month.

Payment terms

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. The $500 website fee is due once you approve the finished site and before launch. Maintenance is billed monthly in advance and is non-refundable for completed billing periods.

Intellectual property

Once payment is received, you own the rights to the content (text, images, logos) you provided to us. The underlying code, design templates, and any reusable components remain our intellectual property and may be re-used in other client projects.

Hosting and third-party services

We do not host websites ourselves. You are responsible for your own hosting (we recommend SiteGround), domain registration, and any third-party services (Calendly, Stripe, Google Business Profile, etc.). Third-party fees are not included in our pricing.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for lost profits, data loss, or indirect damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability — those rules will apply where required by law.

Outreach and communications

If you receive an SMS or email from us as part of our prospecting outreach, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP (for SMS) or clicking the unsubscribe link (for email). We honor opt-outs immediately.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page and noted with a new "Last updated" date.
